My goal is to help each student discover and strengthen their own unique responsiveness as an artist\, developing a deeper awareness of what they personally need to meet a challenge and do their best work. \nActing begins with imagination\, connection\, and presence—especially in relationship to your scene partner(s). Every actor works differently: one student may connect most strongly through visual imagery\, while another may unlock a scene through breathwork\, movement\, or a kinesthetic approach. Part of the work is building a rich toolbox of techniques and learning when and how to use them. \nI primarily work with scenes from plays because they offer actors a strong sense of narrative arc and are written specifically to serve the actor’s craft.
