The goal of Berg’s online scene study class is to combine the depth and rigor of his in-person work with the unique demands and possibilities of on-camera performance. Using Zoom as our “frame,” students will begin applying foundational acting tools directly to performance in a way that feels immediate, active, and alive.
Together, we explore how to turn text into meaningful action—balancing spontaneity with structure to create work that is honest, dynamic, and deeply connected. The class encourages actors to trust their instincts while building a strong technical foundation, helping each student develop performances that feel authentic, imaginative, and fully realized.
As students strengthen their craft, they also gain a clearer understanding of how their work translates on camera, building confidence and presence for film and television performance. The focus throughout is on creating truthful work rooted in technique, imagination, and personal connection.
