The Actor’s Imagination on Film: On Camera Scene Study Intensive

Meets on Saturday and Sunday: June 20th and 21st.

In this intensive, actors will be assigned a scene and scene partner and will work on camera with full coverage, filmed by a camera operator while Berg coaches each performance.

Berg will guide you through the practical application of on-camera acting and audition technique, addressing both the technical and artistic demands of working in front of the lens. The work is designed to release the actor’s imagination through technique, cultivating authentic, spontaneous behavior on camera. This approach empowers actors to separate themselves from the pack—revealing their private selves and making bold, truthful creative choices.

Drawing from the same techniques and experience he brought to his on-camera acting course at The Yale School of Drama, Berg will help you access your own powerful imagination and make it palpable, visceral, and fully transferable to the rigors and constraints of film and television.

Throughout the intensive, actors will be filmed during each session and will review their work with Berg, gaining clear, actionable insight into their on-camera presence and performance.
